Walk and roll

Published: Monday, October 12, 2009 7:49 AM PDT
Hundreds of Healdsburg students participated in International Walk and Roll to School Day on Wednesday morning, an activity organizers hope will encourage families to leave their cars at home while promoting exercise. More than 50 schools in Sonoma County participated, including St. John’s, Healdsburg Elementary, Healdsburg Junior High, Live Oak Preschool, Healdsburg Montessori, Healdsburg Community Nursery School and the Healdsburg School. Pictured above, Anthony Suazo gets a raffle ticket from Fitch Mountain Principal Amber Stringfellow while father Max looks on. The Suazos live on Piper Street and ride their bikes to school every day.
